Arctic Grayling

Thymallus arcticus

Average size: 1 – 2 lbs.
Alaska state record: 3.9 lbs.
Tackle used: Fly and spin tackle. No bait. Single barbless hooks. Dry fly fishing is by far our favorite and very productive method. You can watch them come up from the bottom of the river to take your surface bug.
Habitat: Pristine, cold rivers and streams.
